Claudio Pavanelli is in his fifth year as an assistant coach with The Villages High School boys soccer team. He currently serves as the team's physiologist and director of sports performance.

A native of Brazil, Pavanelli previously coached for five different professional soccer teams in Brazil and a sixth in China.

Pavanelli is married to his wife, Delma Viana, and has three children: Jade, Rodrigo and Ana Carolina.
