VHS Buffalo Athletics

Marquez Porter is in his fifth year as head coach of The Villages High School girls basketball team and his ninth year overall at VHS.

A native of Leesburg, Florida, Porter continued his education at the University of Arizona (Global Campus). 

Porter led the Buffalo to a program-record 20 victories and a district championship during the 2020-21 season, while also winning a postseason game for the first time since 2013.

Porter is married to his wife, Charity, and has six children: Marquez Jr., Micah, Zion, Malaysia, Malani and Miya.
