Mount Dora, Fla. – David Probola's record-setting senior campaign continued Saturday in Mount Dora.
The distance runner for The Villages High School track and field team set another school record at Mount Dora Christian Invitational #2 on the campus of Mount Dora Christian Academy, winning the boys' 3200-meter run in a time of 9:47.96.
Probola, who served as the only VHS entrant at the meet, broke the record previously belonging to his teammate, Nate Burton, with a time of 10:03.66. Probola also set the school's cross country record (16:31.5) back in September.
Along with his teammates, Probola and the VHS track and field team return to action at 4 p.m. April 1 in a home meet at H.G. Morse Stadium in Middleton.
