Marty Dzuro is happy to be a part of The Villages Charter School as a member of the administrative team managing Event & Venue Operations. Dzuro graduated from VHS in 2012. While at VHS, he was a member of the Boys Golf team (2008-2009), Boys Basketball team (2008-2012), VHS Choir (2008-2012), and VHS Band (2008-2010). From 2012-2016, Dzuro attended Stetson University in Deland, Florida. As a student there, he studied Music Education with a focus on Vocal Performance. In 2015 and 2016, he was Assistant Stage Manager for Stetson Opera Theatre. In 2015, he served as Lighting and Technical Director for Interharmony's Sulzbach-Rosenberg International Music Festival's opera program held in the Bavarian village of Sulzbach-Rosenberg. Since 2014, Dzuro has been involved with the Battle at The Villages: an eight team Christmas boys basketball tournament that has received national recognition as one of the best tournaments in the country. Since 2018, he has served as the Tournament Director for the Battle at The Villages. In the Summer of 2021, Dzuro finished his undergraduate degree online with Arizona State University and accepted a position as an Assistant Director for the Buffalo Stampeders. Coach Dzuro and his wife, Jennifer, live in Oxford Oaks and are parents to one cat, Faust and one dog, Lufa. Dzuro is excited for being a part of his alma mater to help the faculty and staff of TVCS develop public events at the new Middleton Campus that will provide a unique opportunity for students to develop the skills and discipline that will serve to positively impact them for the rest of their lives.
