Lecanto, Fla. — The Villages High School volleyball team slipped back to .500 on the season by the slimmest of margins Monday night in Citrus County.
The Buffalo were swept in a 3-0 road defeat to the Lecanto Panthers, who squeaked out the win via 25-23, 25-23 and 25-22 decisions, respectively.
With the loss, VHS drops to 8-8 overall this season.
The Villages has just two regular-season matches left, traveling to Ocala to face St. John Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before returning home for Senior Night at 5:30 p.m. Friday against Southland Christian.
