Tallahassee, Fla. — The Villages High School cross country team picked up a pair of Top 60 finishes individually at the 2023 Florida High School Cross Country State Championships on Friday in Tallahassee.
The Buffalo boys squad was led by
David Probola (46th overall, 17:09.7) and
Thatcher Clarke (52nd, 17:17.7), with the pair helping the team finish in 15th place out of 32 squads competing in Class 2A.
Allister Clarke and
Nate Burton also finished 61st and 77th as individuals, respectively.
The VHS girls team was paced by
Alexis Hume, who finished 91st overall individually with a time of 21:14.6. The team finished 29th out of 32 teams competing.
In total, 14 runners represented the Buffalo at the state cross country meet at Apalachee Regional Park.
