Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School boys basketball team cruised to victory in a preseason exhibition Tuesday night in Middleton.
The Buffalo rolled to a 74-48 win over visiting North Marion (Citra) to open the two-night Buffalo Preseason Classic inside the VHS Gymnasium.
"I think we're glad to have finally played another opponent," said VHS head coach
Colt McDowell. "We've been practicing against one another and conditioning for a little while now, so it was nice to get after it against someone else. We did a lot of good things and a lot of bad things, and I can't wait to watch the film and get back to work in practice."
Aaron Britt, Jr. led four players in double digits with 20 points, while
Jared Thompson scored 16,
Ethan Bevis added 13 and
Adyn Corbin finished with 13.
VHS will close out the preseason portion of its 2024-25 slate on Thursday night, when the Buffalo host P.K. Yonge (Gainesville) at 7:30 p.m. in Middleton.
