Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School accomplished yet another "first" on Wednesday in Middleton.
The Buffalo unveiled their new beach volleyball complex, hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to welcoming Windermere Prep in the program's first-ever beach volleyball match. The ceremony included members of VHS administration and school faculty, The Villages Buffalo Booster Club and other community leaders.
VHS, led by former collegiate coach Chris Hamilton, ultimately fell 4-1 in its home opener at the new five-court outdoor facility.
The Villages will return to action at 5 p.m. on March 20 against St. John Lutheran in Middleton.
