Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School volleyball team dominated in its return home Tuesday night in Middleton.
In their first home match in two weeks, the Buffalo rolled to a 3-0 sweep (25-11, 25-14, 25-13) over Class 3A-District 6 foe Umatilla inside the VHS Gymnasium.
VHS improved to 4-2 overall this season with the win — its only scheduled district contest this season — while the visiting Bulldogs dropped to 4-3.
The match was the first for the Buffalo in Middleton since Aug. 20, playing their last three matches away from VHS. The Villages snapped a two-game skid its last time out on Aug. 29 with a 3-1 win at St. Cloud.
The Buffalo are slated to return to action at 7 p.m. Thursday night when they the road once again to take on Lake Minneola.
