Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School baseball team came from behind to score a 3-2 victory Wednesday night in Middleton.
Torin Foley hit two triples,
Samuel Craig had two hits and two stolen bases, and
Lincoln Gagne bounced back from a pair of runs allowed early to earn a complete-game win for VHS (17-4 overall) over visiting Horizon.
The 17 wins this spring are the most regular-season victories for the Buffalo since 2019, as The Villages won its sixth consecutive game.
Despite trailing 2-0 after the top of the first, VHS worked its way back with a run in the home side of the first and another in the fourth. The Buffalo then went ahead 3-2 in the fifth after Foley's second triple of the night drove in the go-ahead run.
The Buffalo return to action at 7 p.m. Friday night when they host IMG Academy (Blue) in Middleton.
