Middleton, Fla. – The Villages High School girls soccer team sent its four seniors out with a shutout victory Thursday night in Middleton.
Violet Dougherty scored a pair of goals and
Isabella Martinez tallied a score after a pregame ceremony honoring her and three other teammates, as the Buffalo enjoyed a 3-0 victory over visiting Santa Fe at H.G. Morse Stadium.
VHS (8-5 overall) celebrated Martinez,
Ana Pavanelli,
Madyson Shea and Anna Faris prior to the match, before recording its seventh shutout victory of the 2025-26 campaign.
The Buffalo have now won four of their last five matches.
Up next, The Villages will host Leesburg at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 in Middleton.
