Middleton, Fla. – It was a happy Homecoming for The Villages High School football team Friday night in Middleton.
The Buffalo rolled past visiting West Port (Ocala) to remain unbeaten this season, cruising to a 42-7 win after rain showers passed through at H.G. Morse Stadium.
VHS posted 40 or more points for a third straight game offensively, led by an efficient night from quarterback
Jadence Kennedy. The senior completed 18-of-19 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns, scattering scores to four different receivers in the win.
Ja'Marian Clark,
Zhiyerre Kennedy,
John Brake III and
Tranard Roberts each hauled in a touchdown reception, while Roberts also scored twice on the ground and added 83 yards rushing on six attempts.
The Buffalo defense held the Wolfpack (2-5) to just 142 yards of offense – including one rushing yard allowed on 17 attempts – as the unit has now surrendered just one offensive touchdown or fewer in four consecutive games.
Richard Jackson tallied two of the seven sacks on the night for VHS and also forced a fumble, while a foursome of
Daniel Brant,

Javaris Woodard and
Maguire Mellinger each recorded six tackles apiece.
