Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School swimming teams will be well-represented at the Class 2A-Region 2 meet Friday in Fort Pierce.

The Buffalo are set to send 16 athletes to the postseason event on the campus of Indian River State College, riding the momentum of a district runner-up finish last week in Ocala.

Scheduled to compete in the regional meet for the VHS boys are: Zion Lumpay, Abel Rivero, Aaron Nacaxe, Braydon Collins, Lucas Braganza, Rory Ireland, Cooper Gardner and Liam Lacasse.

On the girls side, the Buffalo are scheduled to feature: Ava Ehinger, Lara Braganza, Emma Braun, Ella Dariano, Caidence Reece, Haven Low, Jessica Durbano and Gia Privitera.

The first event of the Class 2A-Region 2 meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. Qualifiers will advance to the 2023 Florida High School Swimming and Diving State Championships scheduled for Nov. 3 at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training facility in Ocala.
