Ocala, Fla. — The Villages High School swimming and diving teams swept the Class 2A-District 4 meet on Tuesday in Ocala.
The Buffalo returned to Middleton with both championship trophies after a dominating performance by the boys and a thrilling title run by the girls, with VHS coming out victorious atop both sets of standings at the Florida Aquatics Swimming Training pool in Marion County.
The VHS boys posted a whopping 490 team points — well ahead of runner-up Crystal River with 309 points — while the Buffalo girls narrowly edged Crystal River, 338-337, to take the district title by a single point.
Up next, the squads will turn their attention toward the Class 2A-Region 2 meet on Nov. 6 at FAST in Ocala.
