The Villages, Fla. — The Villages High School boys golf team returned to its winning ways Tuesday at Bonifay Country Club.

After suffering their first head-to-head defeat last Thursday, the Buffalo got back into the win column with a 168-176 victory over Citrus (Inverness) on a breezy afternoon in The Villages.

Freshman Landon Howell posted a career-low score with a 37 for VHS, while Braxton Williams shot a 38 and Grady Logan added a 45. Tyler Budill rounded out the Buffalo foursome with a nine-hole score of 48.

The Villages is slated to return to action at 4 p.m. Thursday when they take on East Ridge at Legends Golf & Country Club in Clermont.
