Orlando, Fla. — The Villages High School wrestling team claimed its second straight district championship Friday in Orlando. 

The Buffalo won the Class 1A-District 6 Tournament on the campus of The First Academy, tallying 208 team points to finish atop the seven-squad standings. Mount Dora finished second with 181 points and Tavares took third with 158.5.

Aaron Spratt (106 pounds), Jonathan Overstreet (120), Devinn Dunn (126), Karson Stanage (132) and Nic Caudill (190) each won individual district titles for VHS, who qualified 11 total grapplers into the regional tournament next week at Palm Bay High School in Melbourne. 

This is the second district championship in program history.
