Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School girls tennis team kept up its winning ways Thursday in Middleton.
The Buffalo remained undefeated with a 7-0 victory over visiting Wildwood at the VHS Tennis Complex, cruising to their ninth win in as many contests this season.
VHS (9-0 overall) enjoyed its fifth consecutive sweep — winning all five singles matches plus both doubles pairings — already this spring. The team is chasing down the best start in program history set just last year, when the Buffalo won their first 11 matches en route to a 12-3 finish.
The Villages will hit the road for its next two matches — March 12 at Crystal River and March 14 at Lecanto — before returning home for a 4 p.m. tilt on March 19 against Vanguard (Ocala) in Middleton.
