Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School girls tennis team took care of business and came away with a trophy because of it on Tuesday in Middleton.

The Buffalo captured the Class 2A-District 5 championship behind four singles wins in the final round against Mount Dora, as the quartet of Katie Ortengren, Erika Brandner, Ellen Brooks and Peyton Gardner all came out victorious individually.

VHS, who finished the regular season with a 14-2 record in Kelly Hill's first season as head coach, will now look ahead to the Class 2A-Region 2 event next week.
