Buffalo Add Three to Football Coaching Staff

VHS announces three new assistant coaches for upcoming football season.

Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School football team announced three new assistant coaches Monday in Middleton.

The Buffalo welcomed Asiantii Woulard, Brock Marion and Landon Noe to its coaching staff, while also announcing their individual duties ahead of the 2024 season.

Woulard, who was the nation's No. 1 ranked dual-threat quarterback as a senior at Winter Park High School, will serve as quarterbacks coach for the varsity team. He began his collegiate career at UCLA, before transferring and graduating from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

"Coach Woulard will bring a new set of eyes to our offensive scheme this fall," said VHS head football coach Richard Pettus. "His experience and ability to read defenses as a high school and college quarterback will be priceless in helping coach our quarterbacks."

Marion, a California native, will bring a dozen years of NFL experience to his role as defensive backs coach for the Buffalo varsity team this fall. After earning all-conference honors at the University of Nevada, Marion won two Super Bowls and made three NFL Pro Bowl appearances throughout his 12-year NFL career. Marion, who is the brother of longtime VHS running backs coach, Todd Marion, played for the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions.

"Brock Marion has brought a new dimension and outlook to our program," Pettus said. "With his outstanding pedigree as a former NFL player, the excitement he's already brought to our players is pretty incredible. Being coached by a former NFL player allows our kids to see how a professional handles himself each and every day, both on and off the field."

Noe, a former starting quarterback for the Buffalo and a 2017 VHS graduate, is set to serve as receivers coach for the junior-varsity squad this season and fulfill other gameday duties for the varsity team. After completing his time at VHS, Noe continued his playing career at Butte College in California, before briefly appearing for the Orlando Phantoms in the Amateur to Professional Development Football League.

"Coach Noe is as passionate as a young coach as he was as the starting quarterback for our football team," Pettus said. "His leadership, along with being a former Buffalo player, will have a tremendous impact on our players."

The Buffalo will hold their first official practice of the 2024 campaign on July 29, before hosting Harmony at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 in a Kickoff Classic exhibition from The Range at H.G. Morse Stadium. The regular season begins the following Friday, Aug. 23, with a 7 p.m. kickoff on the road at Wildwood.
