Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School girls soccer team announced its 2024-25 season tryout dates on Thursday.
The Buffalo will host three days of tryouts to develop their varsity and junior-varsity squads, with the three-day tryouts taking place Oct. 15-17 at the VHS (grass) practice fields in Middleton. The tryouts are scheduled from 3:30-5 p.m. each day.
A player-parent meeting will then be held at 5 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the practice fields in Middleton.
STUDENT-ATHLETE TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS
- Academic Performance: Student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade-point-average (GPA) of 2.0 to participate.
- Athletic Clearance: An updated athletic clearance must be completed to participate, completed by a parent or legal guardian. - Attendance: Prospective players must attend all three days of tryouts. Contact a member of the coaching staff if another sport, event or activity interferes.
- Equipment: Soccer cleats, shin guards, soccer socks, black soccer shorts (no spandex/leggings) and a grey t-shirt are required. No jewelry shall be worn.
- Hydration: Athletes should bring their own water and/or sport drinks.
- Player Pickup: Parents should plan to pick up their student-athlete at 5 p.m. each day.
