Middleton, Fla. — Tickets for the 12th annual
Battle at The Villages are on sale now.
The three-day, eight-team boys high school basketball tournament takes place Dec. 29-31 on the campus of The Villages High School in Middleton, with this year's field featuring a first for the event. The 2025 edition will feature more out-of-state teams (5) than Florida representatives (3) for the very first time.
Games are scheduled for 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day.
The tournament opens Dec. 29 with De La Salle (Chicago, Ill.) taking on Bartow (Bartow, Fla.) at 1 p.m., before Upper Arlington (Columbus, Ohio) squares off with St. Mary's (Phoenix, Ariz.) at 3 p.m. The evening session begins at 5 p.m. as McCallie (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Victory Christian (Lakeland, Fla.) square off, before The Villages (Middleton, Fla.) battles East Hall (Gainesville, Ga.) at 7 p.m.
The host Buffalo won the Battle at The Villages for the first time last December, capping three wins in three nights with a 77-74 victory over Windermere.
