Brooksville, Fla. — The Villages High School boys cross country once again finished atop the pack at the Class 2A-District 3 Meet Thursday in Brooksville.
The Buffalo finished first out of 11 teams competing at Sand Hill Boy Scout Reservation, placing five runners inside the Top 15 to cruise to their fourth straight district title.
David Probola finished third individually with a time of 17:11.3, while
Nate Burton was seventh overall (17:38) and
Roberto Carmona-Rivero was 12th (18:26.5).
Joran (Gunner) Horneij and
Allister Clarke were 14th and 15th, respectively, with matching times of 18:29.
Over on the girls side, VHS took fourth out of nine teams participating in the overall standings.
Annison Chandler (14th, 22:04.6) and
Catherine Easley (15th, 22:08.3) paced the Buffalo effort.
Up next, the two squads will compete at the Class 2A-Region 2 meet on Nov. 13 at Holloway Park in Lakeland.
