Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School flag football team ran away from North Marion for its third victory of the spring Monday night in Middleton.
The Buffalo cruised to a 34-14 win over the visiting Colts from The Range at H.G. Morse Stadium, improving to 3-5 overall on the season with the Senior Night victory.
Zion McRae caught six passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns — and added a rushing score — while
Amelia O'Brien finished 9-of-11 passing for 188 yards and four touchdowns through the air.
Kaitlin Ritch and
Sofia Florian also had a receiving touchdown each.
The 34 points scored were a season-high total for The Villages, who return to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Citrus in Inverness. VHS led 19-0 at halftime and 27-0 late in the third quarter in Monday's win over North Marion.
