Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School flag football team achieved some program history with its victory Tuesday night in Middleton.
The Buffalo captured their first-ever postseason victory with a 34-0 rout of Crescent City in the Class 1A-District 5 Tournament semifinals at H.G. Morse Stadium, advancing to Thursday's district championship game with the win.

Amelia O'Brien finished 13-of-26 passing for 230 yards with no interceptions.
The victory was the sixth defensive shutout of the season for the Buffalo, who won their first postseason game in the program's third year of existence.
The Villages will now turn its attention toward the Class 1A-District 5 Tournament championship at 6 p.m. Thursday on the road at unbeaten Wildwood.
