Breakdown: The 2023 track and field season belonged to the VHS girls. After a record-setting effort at districts, the Buffalo finished 10th overall at the state meet on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, highlighted by senior Caley Sosnowski's historic performance in the javelin. Sosnowski set a Class 2A state record with a throw of 43.04 meters (141 feet, 2 inches) to help VHS tally 22 team points.
