Lakeland, Fla. — The Villages High School girls weightlifting team brought home four medals from the state meet Saturday at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. 

The quartet of Selena Osorio Gross (119 traditional), Lexi Galewski (129 traditional), Katherine Probola (129 traditional) and Kayli Murphy (110 Olympic) each finished in the top six of their respective weight divisions, while the trio of Madison Hume (101 Olympic), Alissa Platt (139 traditional) and Zoey Simmons (154 traditional) each earned a Top-10 finish.

VHS secured eight top-10 individual finishes in total, as Galewski finished on the leaderboard in both the traditional and Olympic lifts, respectively. 

The Buffalo, who swept both the district and regional team titles this winter, boasted 10 total participants at the Class 1A state meet.
