Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School swimming and diving teams picked up a pair of victories Tuesday in Middleton.
The Buffalo bested both Citrus and Eustis in a double-dual sweep at the VHS Aquatics Center, as the boys improved to 10-0 in head-to-head competition this season and the girls moved to 8-2 overall.
The VHS boys defeated Citrus, 145-21, and Eustis, 123-53, while the Buffalo girls toppled Eustis, 135-30, and Citrus by a final of 128-43.
In total, Buffalo swimmers won 20 of the 24 events across the three-team competition on Tuesday. VHS also captured five of the six relay events.
Laine Langenbrunner, Lara Braganza and Ella Dariano each won both of their individual events for the girls, while Aaron Nacaxe did the same for the boys.
Bella McDowell and Sebastian Price paced the VHS diving effort, with the latter setting new personal-best marks during the competition.
Up next, the squads will host Trinity Catholic at 5 p.m. Oct. 16 on Senior Day in Middleton.
