Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School football team released its 2025 season schedule Monday.

The Buffalo will play 10 games — plus a preseason Kickoff Classic exhibition — and host a total of six home dates during the upcoming fall campaign.

VHS will open with a preseason contest on the road at Harmony in St. Cloud on Aug. 15, before the regular season gets underway Aug. 22 against rival Wildwood at H.G. Morse Stadium. The Buffalo defeated the Wildcats, 34-13, in the season opener last year in Wildwood.

After a home date with Lecanto on Aug. 29, the Buffalo will hit the road for three consecutive Friday nights against South Lake, Citrus and Tavares, respectively. 

The team then returns home for three straight games starting Sept. 26 against Belleview, before a homecoming tilt against Crystal River on Oct. 3 and the first of two Class 2A-District 10 matchups on Oct. 10 against Astronaut.

VHS travels to reigning Class 2A state champion — and district foe — Cocoa on Oct. 17, with a bye week then separating the regular-season finale and Senior Night for the Buffalo on Oct. 31 against Mount Dora.
