Middleton, Fla. – For the second consecutive day, The Villages High School boys basketball team played its way to a split decision Saturday in Middleton.

The host Buffalo went 1-1 on Day 2 to close out pool play at the 2026 Buffalo Team Camp, finishing with a 2-2 overall record through four preliminary games.

VHS will now turn its attention toward a single-elimination tournament Sunday, with its run beginning at 11:20 a.m. against Bartow.

The Villages opened Saturday with a 53-36 win over Winter Park, as Jomar Bernard tallied a game-high 22 points and Aaron Britt, Jr. poured in 21 points.

The Buffalo weren't able to complete the Saturday sweep in the nightcap, as VHS struggled in the second half en route to an eventual 79-69 loss to Palm Beach Prep.

The three-day summertime exhibition event concludes with all-day action beginning at 9 a.m. in Middleton.
