Middleton, Fla. – The Villages High School boys basketball team wasn't able to defend its Buffalo Team Camp title Sunday in MIddleton.
After going 2-2 in pool play to earn the No. 15 seed, the Buffalo were bounced from the three-day event's single-elimination bracket with a 78-62 loss to No. 2 Bartow inside the Buffalo Sports Complex.
The visiting Yellow Jackets shot 62% from the floor and outrebounded VHS, 29-13, in the victory.
Jomar Bernard led the way for The Villages with 27 points and four rebounds, while Aaron Britt, Jr. had 13 points and Zayden Garcia finished with nine.
The Buffalo will return to action next weekend for the GBCA Live Period event in Atlanta.
