The Villages, Fla. — Every shot mattered for The Villages High School boys golf team Tuesday at Bonifay Country Club.
Down to the very last one.
One individual stroke was the margin of victory for the Buffalo over First Academy-Leesburg, as VHS narrowly enjoyed a 154-155 win over the visiting Eagles in The Villages.
Grady Logan and
Peyton Flynn led the way for the Buffalo, as each signed for a 2-over-38 on the day, while
Braxton Williams and
Tyler Budill were just a shot behind with a 3-over-39.
The foursome's total of 154 was the lowest of the season to date, as VHS improved to 4-0 overall in head-to-head play.
The Buffalo return to action at 4 p.m. Thursday in Inverness, where they'll take on both Citrus and Nature Coast at Lakeside Country Club.
