Middleton, Fla. — The Villages High School boys basketball team tipped off its postseason run with a victory — the largest in program history — on Wednesday night in Middleton.
The Buffalo dispatched Crescent City with ease to enjoy a 100-20 win in the Class 3A-District 5 Tournament semifinals, advancing on to face South Sumter in Friday's district championship inside the VHS Gymnasium. Tipoff will be 7 p.m.
The 80-point win is the largest for VHS in program history, surpassing a 67-point victory against Calusa Prep back on Jan. 27, 2023, when the Buffalo won 94-27.
