Orlando, Fla. – The Villages High School boys basketball team bounced back for a much-needed victory Tuesday night in Orlando.
The Buffalo shrugged off one of their worst performances of the season with a 66-54 road win at Olympia, improving to 12-5 overall this winter.
After matching a season-low point total in a 59-45 loss at Montverde on Jan. 9, VHS rallied behind 16 points from
Jomar Bernard and
Aaron Britt, Jr. chipped in with 14 points and seven assists.
Kymani Weathers poured in eight points in the paint and
Ethan Bevis also added seven points and seven rebounds.
The Buffalo were credited with forcing 28 turnovers defensively and went 12-of-14 from the free-throw line as a team.
VHS will now turn its attention toward another road tilt in Orlando, as the Buffalo take on Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night.
