Zephyrhills, Fla. – The Villages High School wrestling team earned its first tournament victory in two seasons Saturday in Zephyrhills.

The Buffalo finished first at the 2026 Zephyrhills Duals, going 5-1 overall in head-to-head meets on the day.

VHS defeated McKeel Academy, Cypress Creek, Pasco, Zephyrhills and Angeline Academy en route to the victory.

It serves as the first tournament win for VHS since the Class 1A-District 6 Tournament on Feb. 16, 2024.

The Buffalo will now turn their attention toward the Ed Kilpatrick Invitational, with the action beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 at Citrus High School in Inverness.
