Palm Coast, Fla. — The Villages High School competitive cheerleading team enjoyed a runner-up finish at its first event of the season this past Saturday in Flagler County.

The Buffalo tallied 63.7 team points in the medium non-tumbling competition, finishing second overall in the season opener at Flagler Palm Coast High School. The event featured 14 teams competing across five different categories.

VHS, which competes in FHSAA Class 1A-Region 2, is coached by Amy Zimmerman.
