Groveland, Fla. – The Villages High School competitive cheerleading team picked up its second first-place banner in as many competitions this season Wednesday in Groveland.

The Buffalo finished atop a three-team field, defeating Mainland and St. Cloud in the Extra Large Non-Tumbling category of the Eagle Jamboree. 

The first-place finish followed up another top performance last Saturday in the season-opening Battle at the Beach at Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach.

Up next, VHS will host the inaugural Buffalo Cheer Showdown, which begins at 8:45 a.m. Saturday inside the VHS Gymnasium in Middleton. Tickets are $8 at the door.
