Middleton, Fla. – The Villages High School girls basketball program celebrated a trio of college signings Monday in Middleton.
Makayla Crews (Thomas University, Georgia),
Ciera Heil (Southeastern Christian College, Florida) and
Narjhani Harris (Southwest Tennessee Community College, Tennessee) signed their respective letters of intent during a ceremony inside the VHS cafeteria, each continuing their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
"I'm very proud of these girls, their progress and their journey," said VHS head girls basketball coach Marquez Porter. "They all have had their own special, unique journeys, and I'm just so proud of all of them for continuing it."
The trio of senior players helped the Buffalo record back-to-back district championships for the first time in program history and a return trip to the FHSAA playoffs, while notching 40 victories over the past two seasons.
